We heard from John Diehl, senior vice president of applied insights for Hartford Funds. He educates financial advisors and their clients about current and emerging opportunities in the financial services marketplace. These opportunities range from retirement planning, investment planning and charitable planning, to anticipating and preparing for demographic and lifestyle changes.
 
John joined Hartford in 1988 and now overseas their relationship with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Age Lab. For more than a decade, Hartford has partnered in research related to retirement topics with the MIT AgeLab.  John will translate this research to help us plan for 8,000 days of retirement.
 
John has been a featured guest on CNBC and Bloomberg Television to discuss retirement-related topics and has been widely quoted in The Wall Street Journal.  He attended Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and earned a bachelors degree in economics.
