Welcome to The Magic of Rotary! While the theme is new, Rotary’s commitment to service above self remains steadfast with members working collaboratively to promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, support education, and grow local economies, creating lasting change in communities worldwide.
Thank you, Ingrid: As we learned from the Past Presidents’ meeting, we all stand on the shoulders of giants. Ingrid, her board, and each of you have contributed to the vitality of our club and all that we have accomplished. From a qualitative perspective, Ingrid set the following goals:
Serve our community and members, supporting global initiatives and Rotary International’s work.
Foster friendship, fellowship, and positive action in all our activities.
Continue the club’s journey through leadership development, involving both the existing board and the next generation of club leaders.
Retain and grow our membership by highlighting the value of our experiences.
From a quantitative perspective, Ingrid exceeded all 17 goals used by Rotary International to benchmark our club's impact, often by a significant margin. These goals fall into the following broad categories:
Enhance Participant Engagement: This includes service participation, social activities, and leadership development.
Increase Our Impact: This encompasses service projects, media stories, Polio Plus fundraising, and bequests to Rotary International.
Expand Our Reach: This includes membership growth (from 86 to 92), Interact involvement, and new member sponsorship.
Increase Our Ability to Adapt: This focuses on enhancing our website and social media presence.
Ingrid, thank you for your leadership and compassion and for continuing to support our club as past president.
Congratulations: The Board voted to recognize John Susie as Rotarian of the Year and Dan Schwegman as Rookie of the Year. Please be sure to thank these committed members for their service.
As we look at the year ahead, we will build on Rotary’s commitments to service and our strong foundation to:
Create engaging and meaningful meetings and social opportunities that resonate with existing members.
Grow by attracting new members who share our passion for service.
Provide leadership development opportunities to empower members and enhance their impact within the community and beyond.
