Susan West introduced our speaker Joy Xaybandith, Volunteer Coordinator Franklin County Children Services. Joy has held many roles in the Children Services Agency for Franklin County. Her time in the Intake Department, Investigator and the Professional Development leadership at the Agency provided great stories of her theme:

The agency is a 7x24 entity that receives over 33,000 phone calls every year to support and investigate.
Of those approximately 14,000 are referred for investigation.
Joy shared Ohio Guidelines, Kinship Family placement and the need for renewing the 2 property taxes.
Support the agency and children by being a foster parent, be a mentor to a child 2 times a month, join and use the speaker’s bureau and Vote in November!
